2011 Ford Fiesta
Overview
The 2011 Ford Fiesta has recently made its debut into the famed American market. This car has already been performing consistently well in the foreign markets. This car is categorized in the affordable small car category giving a fresh glimpse at an evolving market. This car has been consistently earning high marks and rewards for having features that other cars in its class lack: a fun and comfortable drive with access to an upscale cabin. This new foreigner is deemed to be changing what Americans now expect from similar vehicles.

Technology
As always, the cars found in the foreign market and similar makes found on our domestic soil differ. European and American Ford Fiestas do differ in several aspects. The U.S. model gets different tires, a slightly more powerful engine and a sedan body style, those changes are very slight overall but may change what the buyers want from their vehicle. The Fiesta has features rarely seen in the Small / Subcompact Car class, from available heated seats to Ford's SYNC system to an airbag for the driver's knees. But what will seal the deal for many buyers is the Fiesta's hybrid-like fuel economy which will be discussed later in this article.

Performance
Fuel economy is an aspect of vehicle performance that has nearly become an essential for today’s car buyers. Ford actually states that the car should get about 30 miles per gall on in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway. These exceedingly high numbers are reaching close to what many hybrid offer today but at thousands of dollars less. The Fiesta is available in either four-door sedan or five-door hatchback body styles. Four trims are available: the base S, SE, SEL and SES. Note that the base S is available only as a sedan.  Also, the sedan isn't available in the SES trim, and the hatch isn't available in the SEL, though the two trims are nearly identical in terms of the features and options they offer. The base Fiesta S is expected to start at $13,320, while the SEL trim starts at $17,120.

Exterior
Several words will described the Ford Fiesta. Vibrant. Attention-Grabbing. Focal Point. 2011 Ford Fiestas come in an array of colors, ranging from the basic Tuxedo Black and Oxford White to the quirky Lime Squeeze, Yellow Blaze and Red Candy. A cool sunroof is also a must for those who love to have a little fun. On the Ford Fiesta, crisp side view and the big wheel arches can be found. The headlights sweep well back into the fenders, and the five-door's rear, with its high-mounted taillights, is blunt but not blocky.

Interior
Step inside the vehicle and there is more of the attention grabbing flash to go around. In the middle of the dashboard is a keypad that is modeled after a mobile-phone, controls for the sound system, heating and cooling functions, ventilations, and many more. One of the most interesting and unique features is that drivers can select among seven “mood lighting” colors to light up areas like the cup holders and foot areas. Interior colors aren’t limited to the boring black or grey but hues like plum and cashmere are also available, definitely distinctive for the class. Despite being a small car, reviewers say that the Fiesta offers a surprising amount of seating space and comfort.

Safety

The government crash test ratings for the 2010 Ford Fiesta are not available yet but don’t be scared off by that fact. The Fiesta offers a variety of surprisingly modern safety features for the affordable car. Traction and stability control, and anti-lock brakes are standard. Inside, the Fiesta has seven standard airbags, including front airbags, side-chest airbags for the front row, and side-curtain airbags for both rows of seats.  The Fiesta also has an airbag for the driver's knee.  It is the only car in the affordable small car class to have one.

Reliability
Like the safety features, the 2011 Ford Fiesta warranty information hasn't been released yet.  However, Ford covers its other vehicles with a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
